I hit the learning curve hard yesterday. I am in the process of building a website exclusive to travel writing, and in the process I have confused the hell out of myself with all of it. Like anything else, if I can teach myself how to do it, I can do it well. I see a lot of YouTube videos, online tutorials, and a big callous on my forehead emerging due to all the walls I will be smacking my head against in the upcoming weeks.
I am sticking with my website company since it is an actual, live person I can work with when things implode, as opposed to WordPress and their generic/Pakistani/some-jaggoff-like-me-in-my-call-center-days-drone trying to keep their talk times down.
Anyway, it has been frustrating. My goal is to monetize the blog as best I can and still have it be secure. Right now, I can’t even get the site to post blogs correctly. Once everything is set up, I might keep this site, but only to talk about writing, or the backstage type of goings on that you can see on the other site. I haven’t decided yet.
Hopefully there is more to come!
